I write about AI; I think about AI; I talk about AI.

Isn’t it fair to give them the chance to do the same regarding me?

I set out on a quest to find out what various well known AIs had to say about SPARK. I asked OpenAI’s GPT-4, Chat GPT-3.5’s successor, Bing AI, and Google AI to write a review of SPARK.

Here’s what GPT-4 had to say:

“Spark” by Pat Daily is an engaging and informative book that offers insights into the world of creativity and how to tap into your own creative potential. As a professional artist and educator, Daily draws on his own experiences and the latest research in psychology and neuroscience to provide readers with practical tips and strategies for fostering creativity in their daily lives.

The book is structured around ten key principles of creativity…

There was more, but they’re not talking about me, and they’re not talking about my SPARK. I dug around and discovered that it was talking about a different book. I asked about that and GPT-4 told me this:

I apologize, but there is no novel called “Spark” by Pat Daily. However, there is a self-help book titled “Spark: How to Lead Yourself and Others to Greater Success” by Angie Morgan, Courtney Lynch, and Sean Lynch. If that’s the book you were referring to, I can write a review for that. Otherwise, please provide more information about the book you are referring to.

It took a book with a single common word in the title, ignored the fact that the authors are different and wrote a review anyway. That’s a fail of the Turing Test.

Bing AI’s response:

“Spark” is a science fiction/fantasy book by Pat Daily. The book takes you to an amusement park that you very much wish you could buy admission for. The characters are believable and you will root for them as they enter quests that are so vividly written that you feel like you’re participating in them yourself1.

I hope this helps! Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

Review by Google Bard:

Spark is a young adult science fiction novel by Pat Daily. It tells the story of Will, a 17-year-old runaway who finds himself in the underground world of SPARK, an augmented reality park that is home to a group of teenagers who have chosen to live off the grid. Will soon learns that SPARK is not what it seems, and that he must use his newfound skills to save his new home from a terrorist attack.

Spark is a fast-paced and exciting read that will appeal to fans of science fiction and young adult novels. Daily does an excellent job of creating a believable and immersive world, and the characters are well-developed and relatable. The plot is full of twists and turns, and the ending is satisfying.

One of the things I enjoyed most about Spark was the way Daily explores the idea of what it means to be human. Will is a complex character who is trying to figure out who he is and where he belongs. He is torn between his desire to return to his old life and his new sense of belonging in SPARK. Daily does an excellent job of showing how difficult it can be to make choices when you are not sure who you are.

Overall, Spark is a well-written and enjoyable novel that I would recommend to anyone looking for a good read. It is a story about friendship, family, and finding your place in the world.

Don’t argue with 2 out of 3 AIs. Go buy the book and give it a read!
