Chris Clinard is on to something.

I was recently on his Books4Guys podcast. He’s worried that men don’t read enough anymore and is on a mission to fix that.

It’s hard to argue against that.

Books4Guys curates lists of books by categories such as Fiction, Non-Fiction, History, and Personal Development. It’s a good collection.

What I appreciate is that he has books by authors with very different viewpoints. That’s critical. We should be able to read things we don’t agree with. Maybe it’ll change our minds; maybe it won’t. What matters most is that we understand the arguments behind different perspectives.

I like this idea so much that I signed up as a community member and will donate to put books in the hands of men – young and old – in the hope that it will foster better dialogue in a world infested with rage-bait.

Here’s a link to the podcast itself.
