I mentioned a while back that I was going to give Kindle Vella a shot with the final novel in the Spark Chronicles. Episode 1 of Ash is now live and can be found here. I asked the cover artist for a few changes and she came through. I wanted the Morrigan figure to be more clearly sci-fi and less fantasy. Also, what’s going on with Feral’s arm? You’ll have to read the book to find out.
My plan is to publish one episode per week, maybe more. Vella allows interaction, so you’ll get to provide feedback and have some say in the final form of the novel. Once it’s complete on Vella, I’ll take all of your feedback and do a final version – Ash 2.0 and publish that traditionally.
BTW, ComicPalooza starts today. Rebecca Romijn has confirmed her attendance for Saturday and Sunday. She played Mystique in the original X-Men trilogy and is currently gracing the Star Trek Universe as Number One in Strange New Worlds. I might have to stand on a stool for our photo op. She’s very tall.
