I used to say “when I grow up.” At this point in my life, that is no longer inevitable. “If” is more appropriate than “when.”
So, if I grow up, I’d like to be an author like Terry Brooks. I first read The Sword of Shanarra long ago in a galaxy far, far away. His tales are epic. His worlds are enduring. He swings (in various series) from serious to comedic to dark. Pick your pleasure.
Not one New York Times best seller. Not two, nor even three. Thirty! Thirty books on the world’s premier best seller list.
Now he’s going to be at ComicPalooza. The same ComicPalooza, btw, where I’ll be. He’s got a pretty packed schedule of panels and signings, so no promise that he’ll stop by Booth 2303 and hang out. I’m sure he’d like to, but, you know, busy.
When you’re not stalking him, swing by and we’ll chat about Fae vs. Human.
I might even let you roll a d20 for a chance to win some free stuff.
Terry Brooks (@terrybrooks) is 79 and a featured guest at ComicPalooza.
If I grow up…
Late breaking news: E.A. Williams (@eawilliams) of Line of Tepes fame will be at the booth. Not joking here, Williams will be physically present and signing books. Get your fangs out and come on over to meet the best thing to happen to vampire fiction since, maybe, ever.
