No posts for months, then two in two days?

Honestly, I was thinking about dumping the blog, but I got encouragement to continue and to start posting again.

Bill was understandably upset about missing this event

This weekend, I will be at Copperfield’s Book Fair in Houston. For the first time, it’s going to be a two-day event. It’s April 5th and 6th from 10 AM until 5 PM. This year, it’s part of Houston’s Indie Bookstore Crawl. Indie stores, like indie authors, are fantastic.

You know how, sometimes, you go to a big bookstore chain, and all they have are the latest bestsellers, games, puzzles, and overpriced coffee? Not so at Copperfield’s. It’s books, books, and books.

That’s one of the things that makes their book fair so good. You’re not fighting through a bunch of cosplaying Baby Yodas or Wolverines. You walk up to a table, talk to the authors, buy all the books you can afford, get them signed, and go home a happy reader!

Sadly, neither William Shatner nor Benedict Cumberbatch will be at my booth this year. *sigh* Maybe next year. If they’re not on Mars or something.

I’m at booth 20, just a short stroll from one of my favorite authors – E.A. Williams. If you’re into the vampire genre, you’ll want to come to the event just to meet her.

At my table, I’ll have my books, plus Yochni’s Eye from Abby Morrison. If you love epic fantasy, you’ll love Abby’s work. I’ll also have (maybe) some copies of Richard Godfrey’s debut novel, ClockSpeed – a story about accelerating human experience to computer rates. You know I love that and loved the book.

Fair warning: I won’t be there on Sunday, April 6th, until almost noon. I’ve got a conflict.

Copperfield’s is at 8220 Louetta Rd. Oh, BTW, free snacks. See you there!
